Our instructors cover sterile surgical techniques and current operating room technology. Surgical Technology Program is designed to prepare graduates for employment and careers in this exciting and rapidly growing medical field.
The Gadsden State Community College Surgical Technology Program is designed to prepare graduates for employment and careers in the rapidly growing medical field. The program provides the student with the fundamental knowledge and skills to function as part of the team of practitioners providing surgical care to patients.

The Surgical Technology Program at Gadsden State Community College accepts students two times a year which consist of two semesters of classroom, lab, and clinical education if starting in the fall and three if beginning in the spring. A student completing the program receives a certificate.
We are at present not accredited by the Association of Surgical Technologist and therefore you may not sit for their exam. However you may obtain your credentials from the National Center for Competency Testing (www.ncctine.com)
