Disability Services (ADA)
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) states that “No qualified person with a disability may be excluded from, denied benefits of, or subjected to discrimination in any course, program, or activity.” Gadsden State Community College strives to create a welcoming environment and works in good faith to meet the needs of Its diverse populations including students with disabilities. Reasonable and appropriate accommodations will be provided for a qualified student with a disability unless to do so would present an undue hardship or lower the academic standards of the College.
Persons with disabilities requesting accommodations should contact the ADA Coordinator or Campus ADA Contact on or nearest his or her campus to obtain information and documents, and procedures related to requesting accommodations at Gadsden State. Students are encouraged to contact these staff members in a timely manner so that their accommodations may be provided without delay.
