By installing the Compatibility Pack in addition to Microsoft Office 2000, Office AP, or Office 2003, you will be able to open, edit, and save files using the file formats new to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007. It can also be used in conjuction with the Microsoft Office Word Viewer 2003 and PowerPoint Viewer 2003 to view files saved in these new formats.

OpenOffice.org is a collection of applications that work together closely to provide the features expected from a modern office suite, such as Microsoft Office. OpenOffice.org contains software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and databases. If you have files from another office package like Word documents or PowerPoint presentations, OpenOffice can probable read them. OpenOffice.org is easy to use and it is free.
