ORI 101: The First-Year Experience is offered each semester - Fall, Spring and Summer on each campus and online. Course selections may be found in the class schedule.
This one credit-hour course is a Gadsden State degree requirement and provides first-semester students with the campus resources and academic skills necessary to achieve educational objectives. This course emphasizes personal responsibility through the exploration of GSCC regulations, campus facilities, and student services. ORI 101 is also designed to help students develop effective study skills, library skills, employability skills and career goals. Upon completion of this course, students should be prepared to successfully manage learning experiences to meet educational and career goals.
