| GSCC News Congressman Aderholt Visits Gadsden State Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) spoke to the Leadership Development Institute (LDI) of Gadsden State Community College on Friday. He stressed to the participants the importance of being a leader and the benefits of possessing leadership characteristics. The Gadsden State LDI is a group that President Renée Culverhouse began four years ago to encourage leadership qualities in employees. Approximately 25 employees are chosen to be a part of the group each year. The LDI training sessions provide members with opportunities to interact with a variety of speakers and experts. Participants are assigned a group project to be presented at the final session. Congressman Aderholt is currently serving his sixth term in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing the Fourth Congressional District of Alabama. He serves on the powerful House Appropriations Committee, as a member of the Homeland Security Subcommittee, the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Subcommittee and the Commerce Justice, Science and Related Agencies Subcommittee. |
