| GSCC News Nationally Known Author to Visit Gadsden Gadsden, Ala. -- Nationally known author, speaker and entrepreneur Jason Ryan Dorsey will be speaking to Gadsden area students in connection with the Gadsden Workforce Development Partnership. The 29-year-old Dorsey is author of the book, "Graduate to Your Perfect Job." 250,000 copies of his books are used by schools, colleges and corporations, and he has spoken to more than 500,000 people around the world. He has a proven history of capturing the attention of today’s youth. Dorsey has represented Generation Y on national television, appearing on such programs as "60 Minutes" and the "Today" show. He also headlined a comedy tour with Kenan Thompson of "Saturday Night Live." Because of his age, he is able to connect with today's young people and encourage them to continue their education to prepare them for their future. On Tuesday, April 29, Dorsey will be at Emma Sansom Middle School from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m., Gadsden Middle School from 10:15 - 11:45 a.m. and Litchfield Middle School from 1:15 - 2:45 p.m. On Thursday, May 1, he will be at Piedmont High School in the morning and Gadsden City High School from 1:30 - 2:45 p.m. Because of the influence that teachers have made in his life, Jason chooses to focus his speaking efforts on educators and students.
