Activities

ALI participants are encouraged to mingle with over 6,000 students to practice English and to absorb the United State's culture. Students participate in field trips to local areas of historical interest and are encouraged to attend stage plays, concerts, local theater groups and sporting events.

International Student Club

The International Student Club strives to promote international, intercultural and academic cooperation and understanding as well as organize fun activities that help all students and the local community learn and appreciate other cultures.  Students participate in the Foreign Student Speaker's Bureau and speak to local civic organizations and schools about their native culture.

The College offers a variety of clubs, organizations, and extracurricular activities which are open to ALI students.

Each year, the International Program Office hosts the International Food Festival which features a variety of ethnic cuisines, exhibits, music , and dance. 

Students should bring traditional dress, photos, slides, and other items representative of their cultures.
