The answer is yes! Students participating in ECEP can still participate in sports and other extracurricular high school activities, as long as their grade point average remains 2.5 or above. ECEP students can also graduate with their senior class, while earning course credit toward a technical college degree at the same time.

HOW DO I APPLY? Applications for ECEP are located in the high school counselor’s office. In order to participate in ECEP, the student must be referred by and receive a recommendation from the high school counselor and principal, as well as approval from the school system superintendent. Once applications have been completed, they must be returned to the high school counselor who will forward them to the Gadsden State Community College ECEP coordinator.
