Patricia Carr Connell has been teaching Speech Communication at Gadsden State since Fall 1993.
She has a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from the University of Montevallo and a Master of Arts in Communication Arts (Speech and Theatre) from the University of Montevallo.
Prior to coming to Gadsden State she taught Speech Communication at Alabama Aviation and Technical College in Ozark, Alabama. She also has worked in both Broadcast News and Print Journalism at radio stations and newspapers in North and Central Alabama. She also worked for the Alabama Forestry Commission as an Information and Education Specialist.
She teaches both Fundamentals of Oral Communication (SPH 106) and Introduction to Public Speaking (SPH 107) courses at Gadsden State.
Her hobbies include reading, traveling, theatre, singing, cruises and watching British television.
