To apply for a Home Access Card at GSCC, complete the form below and take one of the following actions:
For information on who is eligible for an AVL Home Access Card through GSCC, please read the section below.
- print the form and take it to any GSCC Library, or
- mail the form to Meadows Library, GSCC, P.O. Box 227, Gadsden, AL 35902-0227, or
- fax the form to Meadows Library at (256) 549-8401.

What is the AVL?
The Alabama Virtual Library provides all students, teachers, and citizens of the State of Alabama with online access to essential library and information resources.
Where can you use the AVL?
The AVL is available at all public K-12 schools, public libraries or college or university campuses. You can use the AVL at home after obtaining a Home Access Card. If you are using your AVL card, please go to the HOME ACCESS page to login as an AVL user.
Who is eligible for a Home Access Card for the Alabama Virtual Library?
All Citizens of the State of Alabama are eligible for a Home Access Card through their local public library. In addition, currently enrolled students or Faculty/Staff of Gadsden State Community College may apply for a Home Access Card.
