Dear Contestant Thank you for your interest and participation in the Seventh Annual Miss Gadsden State Community College Pageant. This will be a fun and rewarding experience for everyone involved. Miss Gadsden State is part of the Miss America Organization, which is the world’s largest competitive scholarship program for young women and one of the nation’s leading achievement programs. This pageant is much more that a “beauty contest.” Participation in this preliminary will enhance your talent and skills. As a contestant, you will benefit from personal experience and association with others. The judging categories consist of interview, on-stage question, talent, evening wear, and swimsuit. Who is Miss Gadsden State? She is a confident, attractive, and talented lady, who is a role model for other women. She is a leader and articulate communicator, representing Gadsden State Community College with pride. The Miss Gadsden State Community College pageant is a part of the Miss Alabama and Miss America Program, therefore the winner will represent Gadsden State in the Miss Alabama Pageant in June. The winner of the Miss Alabama Pageant will compete in the Miss America Pageant. At each level, winners and alternates receive scholarship money that will help further their education in addition to other prizes. The pageant is scheduled for Nov. 7. The deadline for turning in your completed contract is Sept. 24.
