		 <description>For years Gadsden State has sported a bright red cardinal as the mascot and referred to 
		 this fine feathered friend as “the cardinal.”  A recommendation was made during a brainstorming session 
		 of the public relations department and the marketing committee to give this mascot a permanent name.
