Gadsden, Ala. — Approximately 30 high school juniors and seniors will be attending the 21st Century Summer Camp at Gadsden State Community College July 11 – 16. The camp provides an active week of preparing the students to give back to their community during the coming year. They will learn how to tutor, build character and manage time efficiently. The camp is funded by a $17,500 grant from the State Department of Education in cooperation with Auburn University.

Gadsden, Ala. – The Continuing Education Department at Gadsden State Community College will offer Kids College June 1 – July 30 at the Ayers Campus in Anniston and the East Broad Campus in Gadsden. The camp is open to children who will complete kindergarten this May through those in sixth grade. Some of the programs being offered this year include: Great American Road Trip, It’s Not Rocket Science, Magical Music, Manners Are Always in Style, Healthy Living, Math Trivia, Community Helpers, Private Eye, Awesome Authors and Let’s Go to Camp.
Gadsden State Community College’s Cardinal Connection will host a career day at Litchfield Middle School May 21 beginning at 9:00 a.m. The career fair is designed to provide eighth grade students with a fresh perspective on a select group of occupations.
Emma Sansom Middle School students are expected to stampede their way through Careers on Wheels (C.O.W.) Day, which will be held May 18 from 7:45 – 10:45 a.m. C.O.W. Day is coordinated by Gadsden State Community College’s Cardinal Connection career coaches and is a career fair that focuses on students in grades six through eight. Tuesday’s event will be the first held at Emma Sansom Middle School.
