ACCC Volleyball Honors

Cardinal Volleyball Players Receive ACCC Honors

 Gadsden State had several players receive Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) honors during the regional tournament held at Beck Field House. Laneshia Anderson of Ohatchee and LaToya Ellington of Anniston were named to the All-Region 1st team.  Peri Bryant of Ohatchee and Kayla Howard of Alexandria were name to the All-Region 2nd team.  Anderson, Bryant, and Ellington were also named to the All-Tournament team along with Peyton Higgins of Boaz.  The team finished in second place in the ACCC Region XXII tournament and qualified for the National Junior College Athletic Association tournament held in Missouri where they finished 16th.   The Lady Cardinals are coached by Angie Reavis and Connie Clark.

Water Festival/NDLW Essay Contest Winners

 More than 1,300 fourth grade students from Etowah County schools will be attending the eleventh annual Etowah County Water Festival on Gadsden State Community College’s Wallace Drive Campus December 16.

Students at Gadsden City High School will participate in CIA (Careers in Action) Day Friday, December 2 as part of an event sponsored by the Gadsden City School System.
