Spring 2014 Registration Begins December 2

Priority Online Registration for Spring Semester 2014 begins at noon Monday, December 2.  Students currently enrolled who have completed 24 semester hours at Gadsden State, and have a 2.0 GPA or higher qualify.  All other registration for spring begins at noon Tuesday, December 3. Go to to view the Spring Semester schedule and to log on to the student online system to register.  For more information contact the Registrar’s office at 256-549-8259.  Spring semester classes begin January 8, 2014.


National Distance Learning Week Winners Announced

The Office of eLearning celebrated National Distance Learning Week with several events and contests for students and faculty to recognize and celebrate the growth and accomplishments of distance learning.  First place winner in the Student Essay Contest was Donna Skinner of Delta.  Valerie Price of Gadsden was the second place winner.  Winners in the Faculty Poster Competition were Julie White (1st place) and Terrie Dabit (2nd place).


Bookworms Meeting Rescheduled for Nov. 27

McClellan Bookworms Meeting November 27th

The next meeting of the McClellan Bookworms will be Wednesday, November 27 at 10:00 a.m. in the McClellan Center conference room in Anniston. The book of the month is The Art Forger by B. A. Shapiro. Middle/Jr. High Honor Band Clinic Cancelled

The 26th Annual Middle/Junior High School Honor Band Clinic scheduled for November 22 and 23 has been cancelled.  The Gadsden State Community College Fine Arts Department and Gadsden State Band Boosters would like to apologize for any inconvenience the cancellation may have caused and take time to express deepest regrets.  We appreciate the school and community support on behalf of this event down through the years and look forward to hosting the clinic next year.
