Transfer Scholarship Opportunities for GSCC Students

The Gadsden State Community College Honors Committee is accepting applications from students who will complete their Gadsden State requirements by August 2014 and plan to transfer this fall.  The Committee recommends recipients for transfer scholarships to the following state universities: Montevallo, Troy, UAB, UAH, and the University of Alabama. Gadsden State is invited to recommend recipients for these universities, and the actual recipients are selected at the discretion of the institution.

Homecoming Queen, Favorites, Escorts 2014 & Piedmont Grads are ‘Cardinal Proud’

Cardinals homecoming favorites were selected by popular student vote and were chosen from all campuses.  Courtney Van Nest of Alexandria was crowned the 2014 Homecoming Queen.  She is majoring in education and represented the Wallace Drive Campus. Jacob Mitchell was the favorite chosen to escort Van Nest.  Mitchell is a native of Rome, Georgia, majoring in engineering. Queen web2Queenweb1

‘Flavors of Soul’ Summit at Valley Street Campus Feb. 27
