National Scholarship Awarded to Technical Student

Noah Tucker, a Gadsden State Community College student from Wellington, has been awarded the National Gene Haas Foundation Machining Technology Scholarship.  The Gene Haas Foundation provides scholarships to students in technical training programs, with preference given to machinist-based certificate and degree programs in partnership with the Science, Math, and Engineering Education Foundation.

February 16-22 Recognized As National Court Reporting and Captioning Week

The National Court Reporters Association, the country’s leading organization representing stenographic court reporters and broadcast captioners, has announced that February 16-22 has been deemed National Court Reporting and Captioning Week. The awareness week pulls together a nationwide effort to highlight the contributions of these professionals to society and to showcase the career opportunities that exist in the court reporting and captioning fields.

Congratulations: Fall 2013 President’s & Dean’s Honors Listing

The Fall Semester 2013 President’s List at Gadsden State Community College was released by Interim President William O. Blow.  Full-time students who earn a semester grade point average of 4.0 and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours of college-level work are named to the President’s List.  They are:
