April is National Community College Month and Gadsden State, a member institution of the Alabama Community College System (ACCS), is joining with community colleges across the state and nation to celebrate. The ACCS is the state’s single largest system of public higher education and is Alabama’s most affordable and accessible system of higher education.

C.A.R.E. Fairs in Anniston & Gadsden
The Gadsden State Counseling and Advising Center is sponsoring two C.A.R.E. (Community Agencies Ready to Engage) Fairs in April as part of the “We Care” Community College Month celebration. The first event will be held Tuesday, April 1, at the McClellan Center in Anniston from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. A second fair will be held Tuesday, April 15 at Inzer Hall on the Wallace Drive Campus in Gadsden from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Various service providers and community agencies will be available to share human services information related to domestic violence, mental health, family and relationships. Gadsden State Community College International Programs will host its annual International Festival, “Boldly Go”, on April 11 at Convention Hall in Gadsden. The festival includes displays showcasing countries from around the world, food, and entertainment. The Gadsden State Community College A Cappella Choir and Singers, under the direction of J.T. Harrell, will be touring Northeast Florida and Southeast Alabama April 2-6.
