NASA Selects Minority University Teams for 2014 Microgravity Research Flights

A team of Gadsden State students has been selected along with twelve other teams from various minority-serving institutions across the U.S. and Puerto Rico to test their science experiments in microgravity conditions.


Cardinal Softball Players Receive Conference Honors

Four members of the Gadsden State Community College Softball Team recently received Alabama Community College Conference Region XXII honors.  Infielder Allie Brassell of Rainbow City, in her second year with the Cardinals, was named to the Alabama Community College Conference All-North Division First Team.  In 54 games this season, Brassell finished with team

McAlpine and Reutter Tapped to Lead Gadsden State and Drake State

MONTGOMERY, Alabama – Alabama Community College System Chancellor, Dr. Mark  Heinrich, today announced leadership changes at two of the system’s colleges. Dr. Helen McAlpine has been named interim president at Gadsden State Community College in Gadsden, and Dr. John Reutter III has been named acting president at J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College in Huntsville. Both appointments are effective July 1.
