Health Sciences Employment Opportunity Fair

The Office of Career Services at Gadsden State Community College will sponsor a Health Sciences Employment Opportunity Fair Monday, July 11 at the McClellan Center in Anniston from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. 

All health science majors and the general public are welcome to attend at no cost.  Please bring several copies of your current resume and professional dress is recommended.  Recruiters interested in registering for the event may contact Ms. Woody at 256-549-8635 or bwoody@gadsdenstate.edu.

GETS Sponsors Field Trips for Participants 

The Gadsden-Etowah Talent Search Program at Gadsden State Community College will host two free field trips for middle and high school participants in July.  On July 14, middle school participants will travel to Birmingham to visit The McWane Center, IMAX Theater, Birmingham Zoo and a tour of the UAB Campus.  The high school participants will travel to Atlanta on July 21 to visit the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coke.  They will also take a behind the scenes tour of CNN and the Georgia Tech Campus.  VOLLEYBALL CAMPS SCHEDULED FOR JULY

The Gadsden State Community College Athletic Department will host individual and team volleyball camps in July.   Team Camp I for varsity players is scheduled for July 18-19. Team Camp II, scheduled for July 25, is similar to Camp I but it is designed for middle school and junior varsity players only.  Each team will have a designated coach as the camp is broken down into sessions that will cover all aspects of the game. The cost is $75 per player.  The Setters/Hitters/Defense Camp will be held July 21-22 with individualized instruction.  Each player will be allowed to choose one of the three positions.  The cost is $50 per player.  In addition, two varsity scrimmage dates are scheduled for July 20 and 27 at Beck Field House on the Wallace Drive Campus in Gadsden.  The cost is $100 per team.  The time for all of the camps is 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. daily. Coach Angie Cole will conduct the camps. Participants will need to provide medical release forms.  For more information or to register, contact the Gadsden State Athletic Department at 256-549-8310.
