Nursing Program Accreditation Visit-October 2011

Gadsden State Community College is pleased to announce the initial accreditation visit of the practical nursing program by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) on October 18-20, 2011.

Specialty accreditation is a voluntary, peer review process that assesses the quality and integrity of the program against nationally approved standards. In addition to the self-study report, the evaluators are interested in reviewing comments from interested parties regarding the nursing program. Faculty, staff, students, and the public are invited to participate in this important process by providing a written commentary on the practical nursing program which is currently offered at three Gadsden State locations:  Cherokee, Valley Street, and McClellan. Comments must be received no later than thirty (30) days prior to the visit and should be mailed directly to NLNAC at the following address:

I’m interested in the Nursing program, I don’t actually start college until next fall of 2012. I’m looking foward to going to your school, maybe for two years at the most. If you could, can you keep me updated on this program.
