8th Annual Holiday Movie Spectacular

The Gadsden Public Library and Gadsden State Community College present the 8th Annual Holiday Movie Spectacular December 21–22 at Wallace Hall Fine

Arts Center located on the Wallace Drive Campus in Gadsden.  The three feature movies, Elf, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and The Polar Express will be shown with a high-definition projector.  Admission to each movie and popcorn is free.  Candy and sodas will be available for purchase in the lobby.  New toys and non-perishable food items will be collected for distribution to local charities. Charles William Chandler Condolences

Gadsden State Community College extends its sincerest condolences on the death of Charles William Chandler. During his 25 years in education many lives were touched and influenced by his kind spirit as well as his diverse knowledge.  Chandler was Dean of Students at the Ayers Campus of Gadsden State, formerly Ayers State Technical College, when he retired in 1992.  While at Gadsden State he was a mentor and friend to many.  He took a genuine interest in every student’s success and knew most of them by name.  His wife Linda, is the daughter of Gadsden State’s first president, the late Dr. Allan D. Naylor.
