Gadsden State Community College presents the 16th Annual Charity Showcase on November 4 at 6 p.m. The event will be held at the Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center on the Wallace Drive Campus in Gadsden. There is no admission charge but donations will be accepted. All proceeds will be presented to the Salvation Army to help the less fortunate with food, clothing and toys.
The Showcase will feature continuous entertainment onstage including saxophonist Kevin Moore, Eura Brown Fourth Grade Choir, Gadsden Middle School Choir, Gadsden State Ensemble and Southern Belle dancers along with Miss Gadsden State and contestants from the Miss Gadsden State Pageant.
During the Showcase attendees may enjoy the onstage entertainment or browse through the many items located in the lobby that will be part of a silent auction—the highlight of the event. The auction items, consistently unique over the years, have included cars, trips, and popular sports memorabilia. There will be a vast number of items available that have been donated by area merchants, Gadsden State employees and students.
Since the program began in 1994, more than $51,000 has been donated to charitable organizations. Everyone is invited to attend for a night of fun and entertainment suitable for the entire family. For more information contact Amy Lacount at email@example.com or 256-439-690.
