“Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over”
The “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Labor Day Mobilization will be in effect from now through September 1 throughout the state as a countermeasure to impaired driving and to help keep drivers safe on the roadways. Law enforcement departments will be able to intensify traffic patrols with a focus on impaired driving due to Gadsden State Community College’s Community Traffic Safety

ACT Prep, Driver’s Ed & Other Courses Offered through Continuing Ed.
The Gadsden State Continuing Education Department will offer classes this fall with high school students in mind as well as lifelong learners. By taking advantage of the ACT Prep, high school juniors and seniors will have an opportunity to prepare before the final 2014 ACT Test date of December 13 and meet the mid-December scholarship deadlines for many 4-year

Gadsden State female students interested in competing for the Miss Gadsden State Community College Pageant crown are encouraged to submit an application by Monday, September 22 at 4:00 p.m. An orientation session for contestants will be held Tuesday, September 23 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center, room 128. The Pageant is part of the Miss America Organization, the world’s largest competitive scholarship program for young women. Participants in this preliminary must perform a 90-second talent and perform choreographed numbers during the pageant. Contestants will also select a platform or cause for which they feel passionate about, and spend time supporting this cause. The judging categories include interview, on-stage question, talent, evening wear and lifestyle and fitness. As Miss Gadsden State Community College 2015, the winner will fill an important role as a leader and receive a two-semester scholarship to Gadsden State. Additional scholarship opportunities will be provided through participation at the Miss Alabama Pageant next June.
The Miss Gadsden State Pageant will be held Friday, November 7 at Wallace Hall in Gadsden.
