The Alabama Technology Network at Gadsden State Community College is hosting a Manufacturing Day celebration from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7. Manufacturing Day is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers.
The celebration includes free training classes to take place at the Bevill Center on the East Broad campus. Companies are limited to three participants per class. Registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and must be completed by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30.
Classes offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. include Root Cause Analysis and Kaizen Facilitator Training. Classes from 8 a.m. to noon are Coordinate Measuring Machine and National Fire Protection Association 70E: Electrical Safety in the Workplace. Supervisory Leadership is offered from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
