Gadsden State closed Aug. 14 for Fall Convocation
Gadsden, Ala.—Gadsden State Community College will be closed until 1 p.m. Aug. 14 in order for faculty and staff to participate in the fall semester convocation and local professional development. All offices, services and departments will resume normal operations at 1 p.m.
Adult Ed Services Open House
Anniston/Gadsden, Ala.--Gadsden State Community College is hosting two Open House events for those interested in taking advantage of classes offered by Adult Education Services. The time for both events will be from 4 to 7 p.m.
The first Open House will be Aug. 14 at Ralls Hall on the East Broad Campus in Gadsden and the second event will be Aug. 16 at the Cheaha Career Center/Adult Ed Services Suite on the Ayers Campus in Anniston. “Gadsden State’s Adult Education Services has opportunities for qualified students to take GED preparatory classes at no cost,” said Dr. Karen Blythe-Smith, associate dean for Instructional Services.
“Adult Education Services offers a variety of instructional packages, academic services and community projects,” she said. “The Open House is the perfect opportunity for students to learn more about what is offered. Those wanting to learn English as a second language are also encouraged to attend.”
Fall 2018 registration continues at Gadsden State
Gadsden, Ala.—Registration continues at Gadsden State Community College for Fall Semester 2018 through Aug. 22. The first day of class is Aug. 20 for full Fall Semester and Fall Mini I sessions. Tech Tuesday workshop for military veterans
Gadsden/Anniston, Ala.—Gadsden State’s Veterans Upward Bound program will host Tech Tuesday BYOD: Learn to use iPad/iPod Touch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Ayers Campus Learning Resource Center in Anniston and Beck Field House on the Wallace Drive Campus.
