Auditions are being held for the Gadsden State Community College Show Band and A Capella Choir Feb. 15, March 1 and March 15 at Wallace Hall.
The critically-acclaimed A Cappella Choir is directed by J.T. Harrell. The group performs at many college functions and has an annual tour.
The Gadsden State Show Band, under the direction of Dr. Matt Leder, is regarded as one of the leading two-year college bands in the southeast. Spots are available for trumpet, trombone, saxophone, voice, bass, drum set, auxiliary percussion, keyboard and guitar. The position of the sound technician is also available.
Auditions consist of a prepared piece of the candidate’s choice, major scales, chromatic scale and sight reading.
