Gadsden, Ala.--Register for free Adult Education classes to help you prepare/study for your GED, ACCUPLACER-College placement test preparation, Non-Traditional High School Diploma option (HSDO) and English as a Second Language (ESL). Gadsden State Music Department auditions, scholarships
Gadsden, Ala. – Auditions are being held for the Gadsden State Community College Show Band and A Capella Choir March 1 and March 15 at Wallace Hall. The A Cappella Choir is directed by J.T. Harrell and performs at many college functions and tours. The Gadsden State Show Band, under the direction of Dr. Matt Leder, has spots are available for trumpet, trombone, saxophone, voice, bass, drum set, auxiliary percussion, keyboard and guitar. The position of the sound technician is also available. All audition candidates will be required to sit-in with the performance group the day of the audition. Spring Mini II begins March 6 at Gadsden State
Gadsden, Ala.--Registration for the Spring Mini II term is underway through March 7 at Gadsden State Community College. The first day of class is March 6. Veterans Upward Bound to host workshops in March
Gadsden, Ala.—The Gadsden State Veterans Upward Bound program will host free workshops for eligible military veterans. Tech Tuesday BYOD: Learn to use iPad/iPod Touch will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 13 at the Ayers Campus Learning Resource Center and Beck Field House on the Wallace Drive Campus. The workshop will offer assistance in learning to use the latest technology devices. Additionally, the Wallace Drive Campus workshop will feature a presentation by Paul Sealy, veteran employment representative with the Gadsden Career Center, on career opportunities available with the federal government designed specifically for veterans.
A financial literacy workshop will be held at 11 a.m. March 20 at the Ayers Campus LRC. The workshop will provide assistance in developing effective ways of budgeting, spending and taking control of their finances. Please RSVP to 256-549-8204 to register for the workshops.

Gadsden State Preview Days
Gadsden, Ala. – Prospective students of all ages are invited to attend the upcoming Preview Days at Gadsden State Community College. The events will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon March 14 at the Ayers Campus in Anniston and March 15 at the Wallace Drive Campus in Gadsden. At Preview Days, students can tour the Ayers and Wallace Drive campuses to discover a variety of technical and academic programs offered by the College. Students will also learn about academic and student support services, admissions, financial aid, dual enrollment and more. Blood Drive at Gadsden State
Gadsden, Ala.--The Gadsden State Division of Health Sciences is sponsoring an American Red Cross blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 15. The drive will be held in Helderman Hall Nursing lab on the Wallace Drive Campus in Gadsden. March is Red Cross Month, and the American Red Cross is encouraging people to donate blood or platelets.
