Gadsden State Cardinal Foundation to host an auction on the Valley Street Campus

The Gadsden State Community College Cardinal Foundation will host an auction featuring one 10-by-16 utility building at 6 p.m. July 25. The auction will be held at the Valley Street Campus, where the building was built by 11 students who graduated from the six-week Basic Residential Carpentry Certificate Program in March.
Cardinal athletes, teams honored by NJCAA

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) recently announced its All-Academic teams for 2016-17 recognizing 11 Gadsden State student-athletes and two athletic teams for their academic achievement.
Gadsden State Community College closing July 3 and 4 for state holiday

Based on the Executive Order issued by Governor Kay Ivey on June 27th, Monday July 3rd has been declared a holiday for State employees. The Alabama Community College System chancellor has authorized each president to close the colleges on that day. As such, all campuses and locations of Gadsden State Community College will be closed on July 3 and 4.
Summer, Fall 2017 registration underway at Gadsden State

Registration continues at Gadsden State Community College for the 2017 Summer Mini III and Fall terms. The first day of class for Summer Mini III is July 6 with the fall term beginning Aug. 23. ACE Institute students earn high school diploma and college degree

The Advanced College Enrollment Institute at Gadsden State Community College permits eligible high school students to dual enroll in college courses and high school classes. Students can even earn a high school diploma and college degree around the same time. Nathan Boatwright and Alyssa Winkles are two of those students.
“I knew the ACE Institute would help me further my education faster than most students my age,” said Winkles, 18. “I was so excited about going to Gadsden State and the ACE Institute gave me the opportunity to do that.”
