Activity I – Improving Student Success and Community Outreach
The mission of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Title III Program of Gadsden State Community College is in accord with the College’s mission to meet the needs of diverse communities by offering quality educational and cultural experiences. Title III’s mission is to further provide resources and support for successful completion of career and educational goals by enhancing intellectual and technical skills of students and faculty, and by encouraging cultural exchanges within the community.

Madalyn Oliver and Aaron Mackey were crowned Gadsden State Community College’s Homecoming King and Queen during festivities Nov. 13 at the Beck Field House.

GSCC Singers annual Christmas tour

The Gadsden State Community College Singers and A Cappella Choir will be singing at many community events and churches during its 2017 Christmas Tour.
The singers will kick-off the tour at 6 p.m. Nov. 26 at College Heights Baptist Church. They are under the direction of J.T. Harrell. Other performance dates are:
Dec. 1 – Noon at Gadsden’s First Friday Ladies Forum
Dec. 3 – 5 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Glencoe
Cardinal volleyball players receive conference honors

The Gadsden State Athletic Department is proud to announce that three sophomore student-athletes received Alabama Community College Conference Region XXII honors. Jewel Mathis of New Hope was named to the All-Region First Team, Alexandria Vinson of Muscle Shoals was named to the All-Region Second Team and Madison Shelby of Huntsville was named to the All-Tournament team. The Lady Cardinals, coached by Connie Clark, finished the season with an ACCC record of 12-7 and 21-11 overall.
