An international student (a first-time freshman, a transfer student, a transient student, or a re-admission student) must apply for admission to the College before the student may enroll in a course.

Public reading of the Declaration of Independence to be held

The Etowah County Bar Association and Gadsden State Community College are hosting “A Patriotic Event: The Reading of the Declaration of Independence” at noon June 30 at Gadsden’s Spirit of American Citizenship Monument on Albert Rains Boulevard.
Local attorney Charles Hart will kick-off the event as the “town crier.” Hart started the annual reading in 2013 as a member of the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. The Rev. John James will give the invocation.
Incoming freshmen students encouraged to register for FOCUS

New students at Gadsden State Community College are encouraged to attend a free half-day orientation known as “Freshmen Opportunities for College and Unlimited Success” (FOCUS). These sessions complement the Cardinal Commit session held in April.
These sessions are strongly encouraged for all incoming students who entered Gadsden State this summer or who plan to enter this fall semester.
