To better serve our students Gadsden State Community College Division of Health Sciences has established Linkage Programs with other Community Colleges in the region.
The Linkage Programs are designed for a student to attend prerequisite/academic classes at GSCC before transferring to another college for admission to programs that are not offered through our college.

What prerequisites are there for Surgical Technology?
There are no prerequisites for the program. Classes may be taken concurrently.
I took anatomy at another school. Will it transfer?
If the courses are equivalent to BIO 201 Anatomy & Physiology I and BIO 202 Anatomy & Physiology II it may transfer from an accredited school. You should contact the Health Sciences Advisor regarding transferability.

Admission to the Program
To enter the program you must be admitted to Gadsden State Community College. There is no application to the program. You must take the Compass Placement Exam and be eligible for MTH 116 (Math Applications).
Admission to the Surgical Technology Program is competitive, and the number of students admitted is limited by the number of faculty and clinical facilities available.
