HOPE/Lifetime Learning Tax Credit
A student, or the person who claims the student as a dependent, who pays out of pocket for tuition and related expenses excluding insurance and books, may qualify for the Hope credit or the Lifetime Learning credit on the taxpayer's federal tax return. A Tuition Payment Statement (1098-T) is mailed to the student's address on file, if the payment for qualifying expenses exceeds the amount received from scholarships and/or grants for the year.
Students may pay tuition and other fees by web using a Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express. Payment for tuition should be made at the time of registration.
Students may make adjustments to class schedules during the add/drop period (dates for add/drops are listed in the current semester class schedule).
When a student drops a class, a class is deleted, or a student completely withdraws, the College computer system adjust the student account and processes a check for the refund amount due. Checks are processed each week. A refund may be issued if a student has a refundable credit balance on their account.
