When an employee requests leave, the employee must complete a Leave Request Form . The form is signed by both the employee and the supervisor, and is kept by the supervisor for reporting on the Monthly Leave Report. It is recommend that leave request forms documenting leave reported for the month be kept with the area's carbon copy of the Leave Report for auditing purposes.
Confirmation Reports are hand mailed to Budget Managers around the 15th of each month. Supervisors should check the reports to be sure of the following:

Budget Managers request and maintain budgets for salaries and pay rates for positions within their budget(s). As employee contracts are requested, the Budget Manager is to insure that money is available in the Budget to cover the request. Budgeting for salaries and hourly pay rates is based on the following:

The first is to set guidelines for annual expenditures in cost centers (called budget units) under the control of the manager for the area (called Budget Manager). The second is to serves as the foundation for the annual budget submitted to the State Board of Trustees.

Live work is performed by students, under the supervision of an instructor, as part of their vocational/technical training program. The work project is for service, repair, or production jobs, related to the instructional program and may be performed in school, or on a job site. Live work projects are conducted for the education of the student, not as a benefit to the eligible person or organization.
