Phlebotomy Essential Functions Requirements
The student entering and participating in the clinical laboratory technology program must be able to:
lift 40 pounds.
hear high and low frequency sounds within normal range, with or without corrective devices.
see with 20-40 visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses.
feel veins and pulses.
smell body and environmental odors.
Phlebotomy Curriculum Information
The phlebotomy training program consists of one course, MLT 100: Phlebotomy, which is a 2 credit hour course. The course consists of 15 hours of lecture and 45 hours of clinical experience in the student laboratory/hospital setting. The course can be completed in six weeks or less.
Admission Requirements & Procedure:
If you wish to apply for admission to the Phlebotomy Training Course, you must complete all steps listed below no later than midnight on March 1, 2018 for Summer Semester, 2018, admission.
