How long is the Nursing Assistant program?
The program is two semesters. The first semester is the nursing assistant course. The second semester is the crossover training including Medical Terminology and Phlebotomy. The first semester material must be completed successfully before progressing to the second semester.
When do we test for certification?
The Nursing Assistant Testing for certification is completed at the end of the first semester. The Phlebotomy certification is given at the end of the second semester.
Can we work and continue in the program?
Many students do work while attending school. Students may not work after 10:00 pm the night before a clinical day.
How much does it cost?
Each semester has 14 hours for a total of 28 hours to complete. Multiply the number of hours times the current cost per credit hours to obtain the estimate of cost.
How do I apply to the program?
- Apply and be accepted to the college
- Take the Compass test. A score of 65 or higher on the reading portion of the Compass is required for admission to the program.
