CLEP
Students enrolled at Gadsden State may potentially be awarded college credit based on scores achieved on one or more College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests. Test scores are evaluated by the Registrar's Office, equated to specific courses offered by Gadsden State and recorded on a student's transcript if credit is awarded.
CLEP tests are only administered at the East Broad campus testing center in Gadsden. Students must schedule a test appointment online after test registration and payment has been completed through the CLEP website. Please note, there is a $15 administrative fee payable at the Gadsden State Community College Business Office prior to arrival for testing.

AP (Advanced Placement)
The College Board's Advanced Placement Program (AP) offers 37 college-level courses for high school students. Each course culminates in a rigorous exam, which provides willing and academically prepared students with the opportunity to earn college and/or advancement placement. The American Council on Education recommends that the following minimum college credits be awarded when an AP Exam score of 3 or high is achieved: three semester hours for AP courses equivalent to one-semester college courses; six semester hours for AP courses equivalent to two-semester college courses; and either semester hours for some mathematics, science, and world language courses.
