PHYSICS DEPARTMENT

Physics is the study of the Universe. The knowledge of Physics gives
you the tools to understand how things work and how they relate to one another.
Physics is the most fundamental of all sciences and in reality gives us the
underlying principles that explain all sciences and engineering. The goal
of Gadsden
State's Physics Department is to provide a full University level treatment of sophomore
physics, focusing on classical mechanics, electricity and magnetism. All
courses are transferable to any four-year institution in the state.
Physics at GSCC is especially advantageous because of small class size and a
real focus on assisting students with this more difficult material. - Dr. L.
Neal Tharp
