Transfer Guide for Associate Degree

The Agriculture Transfer Guide is  introductory  to prepare students to transfer to a four-year institution. A wide range of career opportunities can be pursued through an agriculture major.  Agriculture is a part of everyone's life because it affects food, water, shelter, clothing, air, earth, economics, society, aesthetics, and recreation.  Demand for technically qualified men and women in agriculture continues to grow.  Agriculture is Alabama's largest industry, and is challenging, highly rewarding and multi-faceted.

Production agriculture--farming--accounts for only about 10 percent of the many careers available for graduates of the College of Agriculture. The list of professional opportunities is extensive and covers a wide variety of jobs. Each of these provides excellent career opportunities for both women and men.
