The Adult Education Services are located in Ralls Hall on the East Broad Campus and the Cheaha
Career Center on the Ayers Campus. The Adult Education program serves the educational needs
of citizens, 16 years of age or older, who have less than a high school diploma. Basic skills
to include reading through the Alabama High School Equivalency Diploma completion, English as a Second
language, and workplace education are offered through this program. This program serves the citizens
of Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, and Etowah Counties. The main objective of this program is to motivate
eligible students to complete high school and to advance into postsecondary education. This program is
offered free to those 16 years of age or older.
- Those who earn a GED are awarded free tuition for one college level course.
- Online GED classes are available.
- GED Graduation ceremonies are held yearly.
