The Electrical Technology program of Gadsden State provides training in the areas of Residential, Commercial and Industrial electrical occupations. Industrial Maintenance Classes are also incorporated into this program in order to yield a "multi-skilled" graduate. The primary purpose of this program is to provide instruction in the area of safety, good work habits, teamwork, communication skills, and entry level knowledge which will enable the student to obtain employment as a multi-craft Electro-Mechanical Technologist
Beginning Spring Semester, 2004: This program is now available to those students with rotating work schedules. It is now possible for the student to begin technical classes at night and complete the class requirements during the day program, or begin classes in the day program and alternate to night classes as his/her work schedule changes. We believe that this change will accommodate those who are employed with rotating schedules, and enable them to obtain a degree in Electrical Technology.
