Bryan Phillips

Women’s Basketball

This is the first season for Bryan Phillips as the head coach for the Lady Cardinal Basketball Team. He previously served three seasons as an assistant coach and recruiter at Gadsden State. He has been instrumental in recruiting 12 full-scholarship athletes and one partial-scholarship athlete to the 2019-20 Lady Cardinals team.

Phillips was a basketball stand-out at Etowah High School from 2004 to 2008. He earned All-Area honors as a player. In 2012, he was named an assistant basketball coach to James Graves, head coach at his alma mater. He remained at EHS before moving to Gadsden State.

Phillips works as an operations support specialist for the City of Tarrant Electric Department. He is working toward a bachelor’s degree in sports management through Columbia Southern University’s online program.

He is married to Kayla, his wife of nine years. They have two sons, Cooper, 7, and Ridge, 3. Both Phillips and Kayla were recently recognized by Lady Cardinals player Jalexis Russell with the Wings Award, which is a special award for those who have made a significant difference in the lives of Gadsden State students.
