Gadsden State Community College announces Summer Six Scholarship

Gadsden, Ala. –  Gadsden State Community College announced a new scholarship for 2021 high school graduates who enroll for the summer semester.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for high school graduates to continue their education while having Gadsden State taking on some of the expense,” said Kelley Pearce, associate dean of Enrollment and Retention.

The Summer Six Scholarship covers up to six credit hours of in-state tuition and fees. It can be used during the full summer semester or any of the three mini terms. The scholarship is open for graduating high school students in Gadsden State’s service area only, including Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Etowah, St. Clair and Talladega counties.

To qualify, 2021 high school graduates must complete a Gadsden State admissions application at www.gadsdenstate.edu/apply. The Summer Six Scholarship application must also be completed. Go to www.gadsdenstate.edu/scholarships.

Following an eligibility review, students will be notified about the scholarship decision via their Gadsden State student email address. The deadline to apply is July 2.
