Drivers Education Class
Registration Instructions
- Enter your information exactly as it appears on your driver’s license (legal name only; no nicknames).
- Include required details (DOB, SSN, etc.)
- Upload a copy of your driver’s license or non-driver’s ID
- Complete the required information in each section. Make sure you click the “Enroll and Pay” button at the end to complete the registration and make payment.
- Course fee is $210
Important Notes
- After completing Gadsden State’s driver’s education course, you must still follow all required steps to obtain your permit and/or driver’s license through your local DMV.
- Registration is required for Workforce noncredit courses and creates an official Gadsden State training record.
- Certificates, CEUs or any other completion verification require completed registration.

Department Policies
It is the policy of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees and Gadsden State Community College, a postsecondary institution under its control, that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, religion, marital status, disability, gender, age, or any other protected class as defined by federal and state law, be excluded from participation, denied benefits, or subjected to discrimination under any program, activity, or employment. Refund Policy- A student who withdraws before the start of a class will receive a 100% refund. Students must contact the GSCC Continuing Education and Corporate Training Managers’ Office prior to the first day of class at 256-549-8652 or asteele@gadsdenstate.edu to officially withdraw from a course. Gadsden State does not give cash refunds. Refunds are mailed from the Business Office or refunded to the card used for payment. A student who withdraws after the class begins will not be issued a refund. Failure to attend a class does not constitute withdrawal. Participant substitutions into later courses may be made with at least a 24-hour notice prior to the course start date.
In case of inclement weather, classes may be postponed. snow, ice or power failure may force building or campus closings. For weather-related closing and postponements, please refer to radio, television, and watch for website announcements. If in doubt, err on the side of your personal safety and do not attempt to attend if you cannot travel safely to the campus.
