Gadsden State returns to summer youth athletic camps
Gadsden, Ala.—The Gadsden State Cardinals Athletic Department will host summer youth basketball camps at Beck Field House on the Wallace Drive Campus in June.
“It’s great to have an opportunity to host these camps again for the youth in our community,” said Mike Cancilla, Gadsden State’s athletic director. “All of our camps and programs were postponed last year due to the worldwide pandemic. Gadsden State has sponsored summer youth enrichment activities for more than 20 years, and it’s good to be able to return to hosting basketball and volleyball camps for athletes from the second grade to 12th grade.”
Youth basketball camps for boys and girls in grades 2 through 6 will be held from 8 a.m. to noon June 28 and 29. Registration fee is $50 per camper to attend both camp dates or $30 per camper to attend one day. Once a camper registers, a confirmation email will be sent containing the medical release form that must be submitted. Deadline to register is June 21.
