Banner services, including Self-Service Banner, will be unavailable for required maintenance from 10 p.m. Friday, October 30, until approximately 10 p.m. Saturday, October 31 (Central Time).
During this time, users will be unable to register for classes, make payments, or access financial aid and other student information through Banner. Please complete any needed transactions before maintenance begins.
Canvas and Microsoft 365, including email and Teams, will remain available.
Banner services will be restored once maintenance is complete and may become available before the scheduled end time.

By accessing MyGadsdenState and registering for courses, students acknowledge responsibility for reviewing the Gadsden State College Catalog and Student Handbook, including tuition and fee payment requirements, refund policies, registration deadlines, and the Academic Calendar. Students are responsible for meeting published deadlines and satisfying financial obligations associated with enrollment.
Steps to Activate and Use Your Alabama.edu Account
Activate Your Account
Before accessing your new dashboard, you must activate your account and set a password. You should have received an email from noreply@rapididentity.com with the subject "Activate Your Alabama.edu Account." This email contains your claim code and instructions on how to use it along with your A# to complete the activation process.
If you did not receive this email, please submit a helpdesk ticket using the link below.
Use Your Alabama.edu Account
To activate and use your Alabama.edu account, you will need your A# (student/employee ID number). The account username format is provided below.
Username: A#@alabama.edu
Accessing the new MyGadsdenState Dashboard is simple. Log in with your Alabama.edu account and password using the link below. All students and employees will receive a new account, which will be used to access Self-Service Banner and Canvas.
Multifactor Authentication
To enhance the security of your account, multifactor authentication (MFA) setup is required. Upon your first online login, you will be prompted to configure MFA using the Microsoft Authenticator app. Please click the link below for a comprehensive guide on setting up multifactor authentication.
Password Reset
If you need to change your password after activating your Alabama.edu account, click the link below, enter your account username, and click "Go." On the following screen, select "Forgot Password?"
