Brady Drake, Enrollment Specialist
Brady joined Gadsden State in April 2024 and serves as an Enrollment Specialist in Enrollment Services. In just two years, Brady has distinguished himself through his dedication to students, commitment to excellence, and positive attitude. He takes pride in helping students make important decisions about their future and works alongside his colleagues to ensure every student feels supported and encouraged.

Angela Tillis, Manager III in Student Support Services
Angela has devoted 28 years to Gadsden State and currently serves as Manager III in Student Support Services. Throughout her career, Angela has been passionate about helping students grow from uncertain freshmen into confident individuals ready to make their mark on the world. She describes Gadsden State as the foundation that helped shape her own success, and she is grateful for the opportunity to leave a fingerprint on the lives of students every day.

Her servant's heart, unwavering commitment to student success, and decades of faithful service embody the very spirit of this award. Dr. Valerie Leonard, Nursing Instructor
Dr. Valerie Leonard, serves as a Nursing Instructor in Health Sciences and brings a unique full-circle perspective to her role. A graduate of Gadsden State's Nursing Program, Dr. Leonard went on to earn bachelor's and master's degrees from UAB and a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Educational Leadership from Chamberlain University. She is also a Certified Nurse Educator and Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

Over her years as both an adjunct and full-time faculty member, Dr. Leonard has dedicated herself to mentoring and teaching the next generation of nurses. As a first-generation college graduate, she understands the transformative power of education and is passionate about helping students achieve the same goals she once pursued. Her commitment to lifelong learning, professional excellence, and student success truly embodies the spirit of this award.
