Dual Enrollment

Dual enrollment lets eligible high school students take college courses for both high school and college credit. Courses are available on Gadsden State campuses, online, or at participating high schools during fall, spring, or summer semesters.

Academic Programs

Gadsden State offers associate, transfer, and pre-professional programs for students pursuing a degree or planning to continue at a four-year institution. Academic areas include humanities, business, computer science, social sciences, sciences, math, engineering, health, and recreation, with faculty and staff available to support student success.

Technical Programs

Gadsden State’s technical programs prepare students for direct entry into the workforce through career-focused training. Program areas include automotive, construction, diesel mechanics, welding, air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical technology, industrial automation, mechatronics, robotics, precision machining, salon and spa management, court reporting, and engineering technologies.

Health Sciences

The Health Science Division at Gadsden State is a leader in healthcare education by offering degrees and certificates in a wide variety of exciting career choices. Faculty and staff encourage students to become a part of a high-demand industry with a hgh job placement percentage.

Skills Training

The Skills Training Division offer short-term, non-credit training for students who want to build job-ready skills or advance in the workplace. Training is hands-on and offered through the Skills Training Center on the East Broad Campus. The division also supports local business and industry through workforce solutions and entry-level employee training.

Adult Education

Gadsden State’s Adult Education Services helps adults build academic and workforce skills through classes in Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, and Etowah counties. Services include GED preparation, High School Diploma Option, ESL, Alabama Career Essentials, Career Pathways, MSSC, OSHA, and TABE.
