The mission of the Division of Sciences is to provide an opportunity for students to achieve their highest potential educationally in the natural science classes offered at Gadsden State. Freshman and sophomore courses in the science field are available for those seeking an associate degree or planning to transfer to a four-year university.
Programs of Study
The Division of Sciences includes instructional programs in natural sciences such as astronomy, chemistry, poultry science, physics, physical science and biology (including human gross anatomy). Classes are available in the traditional classroom settings and online.
2+2 Poultry Science Program
The 2+2 Poultry Science Program through the Division of Science gives students the opportunity to complete their freshman and sophomore years at Gadsden State Cherokee and their junior and senior years at Auburn. In the end, students will earn a bachelor’s degree and the training necessary to work in Alabama’s most profitable agricultural industry.
CATALYST Program
A selective-acceptance program to fast track students applying to a Health Science Program at Gadsden State or planning to complete science requirements before transferring to a four-year university program.
