Alumni Association
The Gadsden State Alumni Association is an advocacy group comprised of alumni, students, faculty, staff and community supporters. Its purpose is to advance, support and promote the interests of the College, its students, the alumni and its members.
The Gadsden State Alumni Association provides scholarships, recognition opportunities, engagement and networking events and more for students, faculty, staff, alumni and members. Become a member today by completing a membership application.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
- Associate: Gadsden State faculty and staff, spouses of graduates and friends of Gadsden State
- Graduate: Individuals who have graduated from certificate or degree programs at Gadsden State
- Regular: Current and former, full-time or part-time Gadsden State students
MEMBERSHIP DUES
- Student Chapter: $10 a year (Gadsden State students graduating with a certificate or degree receive a one-year complimentary membership)
- Annual Membership: $20 a year (renewal in October)
- Lifetime Membership: $300 (installment plans are available)

The Inaugural Gadsden State Alumni Association Art Exhibit will be held Sept. 26 at the Walnut Gallery in Gadsden. The show is designed to exhibit works of art of any definition created by friends, graduates and Alumni Association members of Gadsden State who live in the Calhoun, Cherokee and Etowah County area. It is free to enter up to five works of art.
Please submit images of art with the submission form here. Entry forms must be submitted by Sept. 10. Please include the artist name along with the work’s title, medium, size, year completed and price (if work is available for purchase). The Alumni Association does not handle the sale but will make every effort to connect artists and interested buyers.
All entries must be ready to hang with frame and matte. If it is an installation entry, installation plans must be submitted before the event. Please identify each entry on the back of the work.
Accepted entries must be dropped off no later than Sept. 20 at the Walnut Gallery. Shipped entries must arrive by USPS on or before Sept. 20. If shipping, please place in a reusable container and include a prepaid return shipping label. Work will be repackaged and shipped back to the artist at the conclusion of the exhibition. Insurance and sales insurance in transit is the responsibility of the artist. Entries must be picked up from the Walnut Gallery by Oct. 7. Works not picked up by that date will become the property of the Gadsden State Alumni Association.
The reception and viewing for the Inaugural Alumni Association Art Exhibit will be at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Walnut Gallery. Prizes will be given including $100 Best in Show Award. First, second and third places as well as honorable mentions will also be awarded.
