Gadsden State A Cappella Choir and Singers plan Christmas tour

Gadsden, Ala.— The Gadsden State Community College A Cappella Choir and Singers will be singing at many community events and churches during its annual Christmas Tour.

The singers will kick-off the tour at 6 p.m.  Dec. 1 at College Heights Baptist Church. The highlight of the tour is the Community Christmas Concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Walnut Gallery. It is free and open to the public. They are under the direction of J.T. Harrell. Other performance dates are:

  • Dec. 3 – 6 p.m. Regency Point  Tree Lighting
  • Dec. 4 – Gadsden Civitan Club
  • Dec. 6 – Caroling on Broad Street at First Friday
  • Dec. 8 – North Gadsden Baptist Church
  • Dec. 10 – Darden Rehabilitation Center Christmas Party
  • Dec. 12 – 6:30 p.m. Toys for Tots Drive at McClellan Senior Living
  • Dec. 14 – 4 p.m. East Gadsden Baptist Church

The group consists of 17 students who study voice in addition to their various collegiate majors. The singers include Jacob Farlow, Stephen Gunter, Abigail Lett, Micah Lett, Arielle McBride, Rianna Payton and Savannah Phillips, all of Gadsden; Caley Jo Doughtery, Gabriel Nichols and Lia Raspberry Zook, all of Rainbow City; Peyton Monroy and Cayman Tisdale, both of Hokes Bluff; Dallas Bedford of Weaver; Faith Bell of Jacksonville; Sam Peterson of Boaz; Kaylyn Ensley of Ohatchee and Cassey Medders of White Plains.
